Want something for the summer holidays? Want to record in a recording studio with your mates?

Now you can!!

Welcome to Music Doctors

Mellowfarm Recordings brings you a series of summer workshops specifically for Young People aged 11-19.

Get involved in these fantastic two-day workshops in our Paulsgrove based studio where YOU take the controls of the mixing desk, microphones, and all the tasks involved in recording in a professional environment. Whether you are a budding musician, singer, songwriter or studio engineer, over the two-day sessions, you will be shown how to MIX, RECORD, and MASTER your product from beginning to end by qualified and experienced musicians, studio engineers and youth workers.

Package includes...

Day One - You will spend the first half of Day One learning about group confidence, team work, and an introduction to studio etiquette and health and safety.
Then we will dive straight into microphone placement techniques, and setting up for a recording, be it from a backing track, live with guitars, keyboards etc, and then we will be ready to record the song. YOU will take the reigns and YOU will have FULL control of the equipment, where you will be shown exactly what to do by our experienced and qualified engineers.

Day Two - The second day is spent mixing and mastering the tracks. You are STILL in control of ALL of the studio gear, and you WILL go home with a copy of your work to show to your mates. You will also be given ’cheat sheets’ of all the processes undertaken so when you go to another studio, you will know exactly what to do. Nice!

For just £30, you will receive two full days in the studio under the guidance of our experienced and qualified staff, where you will also get the chance to record, engineer and master your own or other peoples music. Bottled water and fruit juice is also provided (however drinks cannot be taken into the studio itself for health and safety reasons).
